When pondering on what to name my blog.... I thought & thought.... and the color yellow came to me!! A dear friend that has gone to be with the Lord (the color yellow that reminds US of her beautiful and bright smile) gave me the inspiration for the theme . In memory of a wonderful friend.

It's A Whole New World...

MEET THE HUBBY :)

Jonathan Jay Pitts ( J.Jay)

J.Jay is such a wonderful man and I am so blessed to have him. He works for Monsanto as an Agronomic Research Associate (Research on Cotton, Corn, Soybeans....Etc.) He graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Agriculture Business and Economics and a Minor in Agronomy and Soils.  I could not be more proud of him!!
J.Jay loves Auburn Football...I am pretty sure that he can tell you ANYTHING you want to know from previous years and present...I swear he must have some secret connection with AU Athletics because I sometimes think I am going to be the cool wife and tell my husband about something new with the recruiting process or something along those lines, but I can hang that up because he always says, "Ah I knew about that yesterday"  :)

For those of you that do know me you know that I am the only child, and all I have ever wanted are some brothers and sisters. Thanks to the Lords work by putting J. Jay into my life I recently gained 3 brothers and 3 sisters, and I could not be more excited to have a HUGE FAMILY :)  When we all get together for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, our annual beach trip or any other time of reunion you can always count on a good time at the Pitts House.... ALL 10 OF US :)

All of us after our rehearsal dinner at The Historic Rawls Hotel in Enterprise, AL !!!
Thanks to Miriam and Joey for a wonderful dinner :)

THE GIRLS :)
I am so excited to have 3 sisters now!!!
(left to right)
Sarah, Miriam (mother-in-law), Me, Lindsay, & Stacy   aren't they beautiful:)

Also, another thing that I am beyond excited about.... Sarah is expecting a baby boy in MAY!!!  I use to think that I would never get to be an aunt since I was the only child but, there again God has blessed me! I AM GOING TO BE AN AUNT!!!!!!!!

Mmmm....CAKE

Bride's Cake

The bride’s table was adorned with green cymbidium orchids, calla lilies and  green buttons.  A swag draped around the table of black and white damask and sage green sheer tied in scattered love knots.  Accenting the table was an easel holding a bridal portrait made by the bride’s mother.

(Teresa's Cake Art in Troy, AL made our beautiful cake) When meeting with her I explained exactly what I wanted and let me just say that when I saw the cake I couldn't believe how that woman really understand me!!! I LOVED OUR CAKE

Groom's Cake

The groom’s table featured a navy linen cloth with an orange topper.  A wrought iron lantern with a black wooden finial post holding street signs representing College and Magnolia to represent the famous Toomer’s Corner at Auburn University.  “Toomer’s Corner” cups held the famous “Toomer’s” lemonade, Auburn M & M’s Reese’s peanut butter cups, chocolate footballs and assorted chocolates in glass compotes.  An oak seedling for the couple to plant with a note from the groom’s mother, the Auburn creed and embroidered “Toomer’s Corner” toilet paper and pictures of the couple from their days in Auburn also decorated the groom’s table.  The square boxed style groom’s cake featured a brick style weave featuring a replica of the marble Auburn University sign with the Auburn logo on top with a fondant couple resembling the bride and groom in auburn colors holding lemonade.

I do believe the easiest decision that I made during all the wedding planning was the theme for J.Jay's cake table!!!! WAR EAGLE

Toomer's Corner means a lot to the both of us... Auburn Graduates, we meet in Auburn and most importantly J. Jay proposed to me at Toomer's Corner the night before my graduation. Even more so does it hold a special place in our hearts than the tragedy that all the Auburn Family is experiencing with OUR TRADITION

  1. I have loved the Pitts family for years, and I feel like I should know them way better than I do. With Mr. Joey and my dad working together for years, my mom would make this particular kind of sandwich for the both of them every now and again. Wonderful, loving family!
