When pondering on what to name my blog.... I thought & thought.... and the color yellow came to me!! A dear friend that has gone to be with the Lord (the color yellow that reminds US of her beautiful and bright smile) gave me the inspiration for the theme . In memory of a wonderful friend.

1st Post

Welcome!!!

I am very new at this so I am sure that you will have to bare with me during the first few post. As a newly wed in hopes of landing my dream job... I thought to myself, "Samantha, you have to find something to occupy your time in the process," and what better than to share with you!!

This week we are dog sitting for some friends as they are cruising the Caribbean on their HONEYMOON!!  ( 3 dogs )  2 Yorkies (Daisy & Mattie) 1 Yorkie-Poo (Bitsy)
I must say that I could not have been more thrilled when we were asked to dog sit, because I miss my babies so much!
Chloe (on the left)  Tuff (on the right)   Miniature Schnauzers  :)

I think you might enjoy what THE HUBBY(J.JAY) made as an appetizer last night.... I was so impressed and we enjoyed so much!!!
Our friends that we are dog/house sitting for introduced us to this great appetizer, so it was a must that we enjoyed this during our stay :)

Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Thingies  (perfect tailgating food)

What do you need?
GROCERY LIST  :)
* Fresh Jalapenos (smaller the better)
*Cream Cheese
*Bacon
*Tooth Picks

1 Wash the peppers
2 Cut the tops off the peppers
3 Remove as many seeds from the inside of the peppers as possible (J.Jay used a very small spoon and scrapped the inside)
4 Fill each pepper with cream cheese
5 Wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around each pepper and secure it by sticking a tooth pick through the pepper (depending upon the thickness of the bacon you can use the whole slice of bacon if you wish)
6 We recommend grilling them (but you may also cook them in the oven)
(Also, we had something made  to cook these delicious treats....but, you can just lay them on the grill)
7 We recommend cooking them until the bacon is done... (around 15 min.)  it really just depends upon your preference
8 Remove & serve when cooled
9 ENJOY !!!! :)

Let me know what you think if you decided to try them :)

HAVE A BLESSED DAY...UNTIL NEXT TIME

  3. I make something very similar and love it! I may just have to try it your way though. The more bacon, the better! I'm so glad you're blogging, and I can't wait to read more! The blog looks terrific!
