When pondering on what to name my blog.... I thought & thought.... and the color yellow came to me!! A dear friend that has gone to be with the Lord (the color yellow that reminds US of her beautiful and bright smile) gave me the inspiration for the theme . In memory of a wonderful friend.

Dreams Do Come True

As I promised to start blogging in detail the description of the wedding! Our wedding was an absolute dream come true. I seriously would not have wanted the whole weekend to be any different... :)
(There will be more pictures to come...My cousin (amazing photographer from D.C.) took my photos and she is currently editing them, so you will have to bare with me because I am limited at this point)

*You can check out her photography at Images By Tiffany (she is originally from Alabama so if any of you fall in love with her style... I know she is willing to travel :)

I decided to start with my dress, veil, bridesmaids dresses and earrings!!!

My Dress
The bride wore a slim one-shoulder, A-line gown with sweetheart neckline and crystal button closures.  Embellishments danced across the neckline and dramatic v-back in a soft, yet striking Italian lace gown that featured a distinctive floral shoulder strap in a beautiful oyster hue.

So any of you who know me... I LOVE one shoulder ANYTHING. Every since I can remember I have had a complete obsession with the one shoulder style. So, when it came time to find my wedding dress I immediately knew ... IT HAD TO BE ONE SHOULDER.

My mother took this photo (yes my family is full of photographers) ... this was my bridal portrait (my mom order a large full length canvas and it was displayed on a beautiful easel next to cake table)

*Check out my mothers photography website Photography By Sara (she lives in Ozark, AL and travels also) I do believe her most recent pictures are on Facebook and you can find her under Photography By Sara Dunn

VEIL
The bride wore a fingertip veil of Italian lace embellished with Swarovski crystals and pearls.

Beautiful Bridesmaids Dresses and Earrings
The bridesmaids wore one-shoulder, A-line dresses of black chiffon with a cluster of flowers that spilled over the shoulder with an adorned ruched bodice.  (Bill Levkoff)

I am a bit partial, but I do believe that I have the most beautiful bridesmaid possible!!!! I love each and everyone of them to the moon and back. Also, I knew that I wanted my bridesmaids to have a dress that match the theme of mine...so what better than this beautiful ONE SHOULDER gown :)

CAUGHT Y'ALL... they were sneaking a peak as J.Jay saw me for the 1st time :)

Meet the Girls :)  As you begin to follow my blog I am sure that you will hear me mention all these girls names...so take the chance to meet them!!!

(Left to Right)

Meagan Roberts --------------------------(childhood best friend)
Paige Brown {Maid of Honor}--------(childhood best friend)
Blair Franklin------------------------------(college  best friend)
Brittany Shepard Pugh-------------------(childhood best friend)
Becky Snell --------------------------------(childhood best friend)
Laura-Ashley Smith-----------------------(childhood best friend)

I love all you so much and I MISS YOU!!!!  In sweet memory of our BRITTANY ...isn't she just the most beautiful person you have seen?

Bridesmaids Earrings
The bridesmaids wore beautiful PEACOCK FEATHER earrings. Peacock Feathers were the accent for the wedding theme. So, I thought what better way to tie in the theme than to get the girls peacock feather earrings!!

I found these earrings on ETSY.com  (searched for ever) I found a designer - MountianMan Creations and told him what I was looking for and he came up with these.

I hope you have enjoyed this much...tomorrow will be more!!!

ONE MORE THING!

My parents gave me a canvas to hang on my wall when moving off to Auburn and I still have this canvas today hanging in our new home!!! It is something that I looked at everyday and asked my self... but, after everything that all of US have gone through in this past month. If one thing I have learned, it is to never take life for granted.... enjoy each day to the fullest!!!!

So I encourage you to ask your self this everyday....don't ever cut your self short!! If you ever have had a dream of doing something work hard to find out what you can do to pursue that dream! God is always there for us to listen to our dreams and goals and he walks by our side and guides us in the right directions to obtain these goals and dreams!!!!

Have a blessed day!!! I am heading back home, the honeymooners are on their way home!!!

Another Recommendation!

Heaven is For Real !!!

After reading Brittany's sister's (Brooke) post on FaceBook of their families signs and words of encouragement to help them through this loss... I saw that she recommended this book, as did several of my close friends. I will be honest with you...if you ever catch me with a book in my hand you better check my temperature, because something maybe wrong. :) As all of us girls were in search of relief from the loss of our beautiful best friend Brittany....I decided to go get this book in hopes of comfort. (not that I ever questioned if there was a Heaven....because I have FAITH, but it just seemed as a way to give us comfort) The night that I purchased it I couldn't wait to get home and start reading... The Hubby was play football on the XBOX and next thing I know it was 1:00am, I seriously could not put the book down...I knew I had to go to bed!!! So the next morning when I woke up I couldn't resist, but the first thing I did was pick up the book and finish this amazing story! I seriously have broken a "Samantha Record" and finished a book in less than 24 hours :)   I highly recommend this book to everyone!!

GET READY!

I have decided to start blogging about the wonderful experience of our wedding weekend!!!  I find that our wedding was extra special and even so carefully planned by our Savior Jesus Christ!!!  He gave us an AMAZING weekend for family and friends to spend one last weekend with Brittany and create lasting memories..... I have the most wonderful bridesmaid and I am so thankful for each and everyone of them!!! J.Jay and I find ourselves to have been VERY BLESSED and we know that God's timing is immaculate!!!
Everyday I am going to elaborate on the details of our DREAM come true weekend. Everything fell into place so perfectly and I just want to let all of you know about the wedding...especially those who couldn't be there. Also, I find this a great way to recognize all of those who played such a pivotal role in making our wedding MAGICAL!!!

SNEAK PEAK :)

ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING!!!
You all have to check out this amazing blog! A sweet and beautiful girl that grew up with J.Jay was my inspiration to start blogging. As you all may know my close friends and I have suffered a loss of BEST FRIEND recently and through all the struggles that we have experienced we always find the strength from the Lord to know that Brittany is celebrating in Heaven!!!

1st Post

Welcome!!!

I am very new at this so I am sure that you will have to bare with me during the first few post. As a newly wed in hopes of landing my dream job... I thought to myself, "Samantha, you have to find something to occupy your time in the process," and what better than to share with you!!

This week we are dog sitting for some friends as they are cruising the Caribbean on their HONEYMOON!!  ( 3 dogs )  2 Yorkies (Daisy & Mattie) 1 Yorkie-Poo (Bitsy)
I must say that I could not have been more thrilled when we were asked to dog sit, because I miss my babies so much!
Chloe (on the left)  Tuff (on the right)   Miniature Schnauzers  :)

I think you might enjoy what THE HUBBY(J.JAY) made as an appetizer last night.... I was so impressed and we enjoyed so much!!!
Our friends that we are dog/house sitting for introduced us to this great appetizer, so it was a must that we enjoyed this during our stay :)

Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Thingies  (perfect tailgating food)

What do you need?
GROCERY LIST  :)
* Fresh Jalapenos (smaller the better)
*Cream Cheese
*Bacon
*Tooth Picks

1 Wash the peppers
2 Cut the tops off the peppers
3 Remove as many seeds from the inside of the peppers as possible (J.Jay used a very small spoon and scrapped the inside)
4 Fill each pepper with cream cheese
5 Wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around each pepper and secure it by sticking a tooth pick through the pepper (depending upon the thickness of the bacon you can use the whole slice of bacon if you wish)
6 We recommend grilling them (but you may also cook them in the oven)
(Also, we had something made  to cook these delicious treats....but, you can just lay them on the grill)
7 We recommend cooking them until the bacon is done... (around 15 min.)  it really just depends upon your preference
8 Remove & serve when cooled
9 ENJOY !!!! :)

Let me know what you think if you decided to try them :)

HAVE A BLESSED DAY...UNTIL NEXT TIME
